Will Jetson Probiotics work for me?

We're serious about gut health and the impact it can have on overall health. Get the scoop straight from real-life Jetson users whose guts — and lives — have been transformed.

In season formulation: Skin

Bacillus subtilis DE111®

An all-star in many Jetson products, this multifunctional probiotic balances your gut microbiome like a champ. It also prevents the growth of pathogenic (bad) bacteria, helps the body assimilate nutrients, and keeps your poo on point.

SolarPlast®

An organic spinach extract, SolarPlast® provides a rich source of antioxidants which work hard to optimize the skin’s (and body’s) natural cellular restoration and repair process.

Superoxide Dismutase (SOD)

SOD supports the skin’s (and body’s) natural repair mechanism by minimizing free-radical damage called oxidative stress, which affects the immune system and is often the cause of inflammation, illness, and premature aging.

Bifidobacterium longum Bl-05

This clever little bacterial strain supports the production of Vitamins B6 and B12, which are essential for your body to produce collagen: the protein that helps improve skin elasticity. It also keeps “bad bacteria” out of your gut.

Lactobacillus rhamnosus GG

Get set for intestinal excellence: This probiotic strain maintains a healthy intestinal barrier by adhering to the mucosal cells in your intestine, helping it absorb nutrients from food — and keeping your immune system healthy.

Vitamin A

Vitamin A is the vitamin for all-round skin health; it helps minimize antioxidant damage and supports skin’s natural repair mechanism. That results in everything from speedier healing to fewer breakouts.

Lactobacillus acidophilus La-14

This probiotic strain is a serious fighter. As its name suggests, it produces lactic acid, which lowers gut pH, making it more acidic. Harmful bacteria — the ones that cause inflammation in your body — hate that.

Munispore™ Bacillus Clausii CSI08

This spore probiotic germinates within hours of reaching the gut, so it starts its work on day one. It acts as an antioxidant, attacking the cause of everything from inflammation to premature aging and helping the body repair itself.

Lactobacillus plantarum Lp-115

Get your glow on, from the inside out: This probiotic strain found in fermented plant silage is a skin savior — helping prevent inflammation and infection, promoting better nutrient absorption, and even reducing the signs of premature aging.

Streptococcus thermophilus St-21

Naturally found in fermented foods, this probiotic supports the production of hyaluronic acid, which is well known for its skin benefits including alleviating dry skin, reducing the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles, and speeding healing.

Lactobacillus salivarius Ls-33

Unhealthy-looking and -feeling skin is a sign of an unhealthy and unbalanced gut microbiome. Ls-33 lowers the gut pH to crowd out bacteria, supporting and regulating a healthy immune system and protecting breakouts from within.

Vitamin C

Vitamin C is famous for its immunity-boosting cred, but it does more than just fight colds. It supports your body’s epithelial barrier from pathogens and baddies. It also helps minimize antioxidant damage, allowing the body to repair itself.

Vitamin E

Vitamin E is an antioxidant, which means it dutifully scans the body for oxidant (bad) molecules — which affect all cells, including skin cells — neutralizing them and, in the case of skin, slowing the aging process.

Why we made this

In all the research on the microbes that live in the human gut, and the latest learnings on what these different probiotic strains can offer, there is one thing research agrees on: the more diverse the strains in your gut the healthier your gut will be. That’s why we created our course of seasonal probiotics. 21 different strains, packed with vitamins and plant extracts, taken over the course of a year will give your gut the diversity it needs, and the health and happiness you deserve.

FAQs

What’s the difference between probiotics, prebiotics, and enzymes?

Each of our products promote a healthy digestive environment and improved overall gut health. Our prebiotics eliminate harmful bacteria so beneficial bacteria can flourish. Probiotics are live bacteria that restore gut balance and support overall gut health. Enzymes speed up the breakdown of food for better nutrient absorption.

What can I expect from taking a probiotic?

When you start taking probiotics, you’re introducing a host of beneficial microbes that will quickly begin to multiply in the digestive tract. These friendly flora work hard to crowd out the types of bacteria and yeast you don’t want in your body. This is great— it’s why you’re taking probiotics in the first place! However, while healthy bacteria are taking hold and colonizing the digestive system, you might notice a few unexpected changes. You or your child may experience a little gas, along with changes in the frequency and texture of bowel movements (BMs). This is totally normal as your body adjusts, but we recommend upping your fluid intake during this phase.

Soon, your stomach will adapt and you’ll notice less gas. You might continue to see increased or decreased BMs as your body gets accustomed to its new gut health. A healthy gut means better absorption of nutrients, so your BMs are more efficient and better quality.

How will I know if it’s working?

Everyone’s a little different—some might feel changes within the first few weeks, and for others it could take up to two months. Some people might not even feel a change at all, but that doesn’t mean your probiotics aren’t doing their job. In the background, probiotics are balancing your gut, helping with nutrient absorption and boosting the immune system. If you’re eating a diet that’s rich in processed foods, your gut is likely in pretty bad shape. While probiotics are working their magic, you may notice a shift in BM’s or an increase in gas. Like we said, this will level out. However, if you have a relatively healthy gut, you may not notice a difference, especially in BMs— this doesn’t mean they aren’t working to keep you regular and boost your immune system.

Do CFUs matter?

CFUs reference an amount in microbiology that estimate the number of viable bacteria or fungal cells in a sample. Basically, a CFU is a unit of the good ‘bugs’ found in probiotics. CFU numbers on probiotic supplements can vary anywhere from several million to 50 billion. Researchers have concluded that an effective probiotic dosage for overall gut health is around 20 million CFUs per day. Probiotic variants with tens of billions of CFUs per serving are providing far more than necessary for general improved gut health. Most importantly, outrageous CFU counts may also imply that there’s a need to compensate for poor survival rates.

Can I take probiotics with my medication?

Whenever you add any supplement into your routine, you should make sure that you have received the all clear from your doctor to make sure you won’t have any unforeseen interactions.

Can I take two Jetson Probiotics formulas at once?

Yes, in fact, we encourage it. Our formulations are complimentary – meaning you’ll never get too much of one strain and too little of another. If you decide to do so, we suggest that you split up the doses: one in the morning, one in the evening.
